Accuracy classes

Accuracy

VOLTECH profile rail guides are divided into five accuracy classes, which determine the maximum range of permissible error of the rail guide system in relation to height, width and parallelism conditions.

The choice of accuracy class determines the positioning accuracy of the rail guide system in the mechanism.

* – for any combination of carriages and rails along the entire length of the rail;

** – for different carriages at one point of the rail

Accuracy in width and height

Width accuracy W defines the maximum lateral deviation of the carriage and the reference side of the rail in the longitudinal direction. Both sides of the rail, as well as the ground side of the carriage base, can be used as the reference side. Height accuracy H is measured between the carriage mounting surface and the bottom surface of the rail base.

H and W are arithmetic mean values measured at the center of the carriage. Their measurement for ΔH or ΔW is performed at the same carriage position on the rail.

Parallelism of movement

This parameter refers to the tolerance for the parallelism condition between two control planes of the rail and the carriage when the carriage moves along the entire length of the rail.
