JSC “Lepse” relies on the rolling rails of the Omutninsky Metallurgical Plant

The events of 2022 have become a catalyst for the revision of logistics and production strategies for the Russian machine tool industry. With the withdrawal of Western brands and disruptions in supply chains, many enterprises were forced to look for alternative ways to provide components. JSC Lepse has chosen a strategy of technological sovereignty, relying on a domestic manufacturer — Omutninsky Metallurgical Plant.

– The choice was not accidental: our cooperation with OMZ JSC includes for more than one year,” said the Deputy Technical Director, Chief Technologist JSC “Lepse” Konstantin Vladimirovich Manylov. — We traditionally buy rolled metal products from this company for our own needs, and the quality of the products is not objectionable. Therefore, when Omutninsky Metallurgical Plant mastered the production of rolling rails under the VOLTECH brand, it was perceived as a logical development of a reliable partnership — trust in metal naturally spread to high-precision mechanics.

In 2024, the specialists of JSC Lepse decided to test the first batch of rolling rails manufactured by OMZ JSC. The task was ambitious: to replace the components in the serial machine with new domestic products.

The tests have confirmed that the VOLTECH rolling guides fully meet the required parameters.

For JSC Lepse, the introduction of Omutninsky Metallurgical Plant components means not only maintaining production quality, but also gaining long—awaited independence from external factors such as currency fluctuations and sanctions risks. The company intends to continue cooperation with JSC OMZ operates on an ongoing basis, which indicates a high level of trust in the new line of business of a long-time partner.
